27 September, 2019 – different locations
QUEST will organise various activities during the European Researchers’ Night 2019 at different locations around Europe.
During the Ca’ Foscari Research week, we will conduct a series of interviews with researchers from different fields. These interviews will be conducted by a TV presenter on a hybrid vaporetto moored at Ca’ Foscari’s main building.
Moreover, a roundtable about the role of YouTubers in science communication will be organized as part of the event.
A workshop for high-school students about science in social media will be organised, including two exercises: gathering feedback on social media content, and creating a social media post based on scientific content.
Young adults will be able to participate in a workshop to co-create a triptych of artworks relating to the current state of science communication and the challenges facing society. It will tie-in to the current Science Gallery exhibition “Perfection” with a view to use some exhibits to show the beauty and flaws in the natural world and how they may or may not be affected by Climate Change and AI.
QUEST will be present at the Researchers’ Night event organized by Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù: our booth will be included in the area dedicated to EU projects and initiatives, where information about the project will be available.
